According to Deadline, director Tim Miller (Deadpool) will be filming the adaptation of Borderlands. The director of the film, Eli Roth, will not be able to return to the project due to work on the horror film Thanksgiving, which will begin filming in March. The horror will be based on a parody trailer shot by Eli Roth for Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's Grindhouse, which was released in 2007.
This will probably come out the best option even for the viewer. Of course, it is difficult to perceive in principle film adaptations of games, as well as books, but they have the right to exist for sure.
