Denis Villeneuve agreed to take on the production of Dune for Warner Bros. and Legendary only on the condition that he is allowed to split Frank Herbert's science fiction novel into two parts. As a result, viewers will soon see the first part of the story, and the director is busy developing a sequel, although Warner Bros. has not yet officially approved the project. But, as it turned out, initially Villeneuve insisted on filming both parts at the same time. He told about this in an interview with Variety: So we are waiting, although a controversial issue of the emergence of a continuation, for sure.

В итоге уже скоро зрители увидят первую часть истории, а режиссер занят разработкой продолжения, хотя Warner Bros. пока официально не одобрила проект.
